Nation's first text-based meth tip program

Meth production and usage was rapidly becoming a top problem across the country, and the Mobile County Sheriff's Office received a C.O.P.S. grant to do something about it.

Thumbs up: MDi researched the demographic capable of reporting suspicious activity related to meth. We found that a motivated citizen force was standing in pharmacy lines across the county, right where the ingredients to make meth were being purchased.

Solution: A widely publicized and wildly successful program was launched with the maxim of "send it to end it." Posters educated consumers about what constituted suspicious behavior, then gave them a text number for safe, discreet reporting.

Outcome: Hundreds of meth-related arrests were immediately attributed to MethText tips, and statistics show that 88% of all inbound text messages have lead to arrest.
